The Multi-Media Comprehensive Guide to Angry Dances

Alright, so Alec was watching Hot Rod the other day (semi-funny movie, worth a watch) and from upstairs I heard the song "Never" by Moving Pictures. I ran screaming down the stairs, yelling, "Who's watching Footloose??" I LOVE Footloose, and when I got downstairs, I didn't see Ren doing his angry dance, but there was a parody of it done by Andy Samberg. (It's pretty funny.) So that got me thinking about all the angry dances I have seen and I think I should just share them with you.

First, the original. Footloose, 1987, starring the amazing Kevin Bacon. If loving him is wrong, I don't want to be right. We always joke that if you missed the first half of the movie, you can pretty much figure it out by Ren's flashbacks.

Next, the Hot Rod Andy Samberg one.

This is Bret's Angry Dance from the Season 1 finale of Flight of the Conchords. I love it. Notice the similar dance moves to the original!

When I saw High School Musical 2, all I could think of was footloose when this scene came on. Although there is significantly less tumbling. Man I love this song. Bonus points to Disney for Angry Golfing, singing into own reflection, and Angry Water Splashing.

Finally, for a little variety, this is a Ballet/Tap Angry Dance from Billy Elliot. I've never seen the whole movie, so I'm not really sure if it's supposed to be funny or what. I kind of want to rent it now...
