Hi again, Austen people! And other people, you're welcome too. So, a couple of us were talking about doing another Austen drabblefest (the previous two were here and here, if that was before your time), and this time the theme is that Great Unmentionable, that Abomination, that Anathema Before the Almighty Jane, all-glory-be-to-her-name: alternate

Um ... Mrs Bennet and Mr Knightley ...? I expect somebody will do it.

I would very much like to see Knightley alternate pairings.

The ones that make most sense to me are Knightley/Eleanor Dashwood, Knightley/Eleanor Tilney and Knightley/Anne Elliot.

I also the Knightley/Elizabeth Bennet and Knightley/Jane Bennetwould be interesting, though I am not sure how it would work out.

Also, how about Knightley/widowed!Mrs.Gardiner? Or, Knightley/grown-up!Georgianna (as in a Georgianna that is closer to 30 years old)?

Mary Crawford/Fanny Price. Extra points if there's an harp involved.

Frederick Wentworth/Marianne Dashwood, because they are both such special snowflakes.

Col. Brandon/Mrs Dashwood, what do you think?

Elinor Dashwood/Willoughby, a classic!

And Edward Ferrars/Anne Elliot, because I want to see everyone paired up and these two totally match.

I guess I should do some P&P!AP, if only to be contrary, so... Darcy/Jane, Bingley/Elizabeth in which everyone is very happy!

Miss Taylor/Mr. George Knightley (or the other Mr. K., it could work)

Frank Churchill/Mrs Elton (their mutual dislike is just poorly disguised attraction?)

John Thorpe/Caroline Bingley (probably this would never happen, but the inevitable set down would be awesome)

Lady Catherine/General Tilney (who DOESN'T want this?)

Anne Elliot/Col Fitzwilliam (it could happen. maybe.)

Emma: Jane/Emma -- something exploring the dynamics when they were younger? Something in an alternative universe where neither married and Emma made overtures of friendship? Anything would be pretty cool for me, tbh.
