It's that time of year again: Drabblefest 3
Hi again, Austen people! And other people, you're welcome too. So, a couple of us were talking about doing another Austen drabblefest (the previous two were here and here, if that was before your time), and this time the theme is that Great Unmentionable, that Abomination, that Anathema Before the Almighty Jane, all-glory-be-to-her-name: alternate pairings.
That's right. Any prompt goes, as long as it's based on a pairing that does not appear in canon. It can even be mentioned in canon -- it just can't be one of the official pairings (Bingley/Georgiana, yes; Frederica/Reginald, no). ETA: Any and all threesomes (and foursomes, etc) are fine by these rules: Henry/Fanny/Edmund/Mary is, indeed, an alternate pairing.
It's been a while, so I'll refresh the process.
In the following week, we can posts prompts fitting the theme -- the prompt can be as vague or specific as you like ("Wickham/Fanny, go!" is fine), and anyone can post them in that time. After the week's over, we can start filling them over the next two weeks, then it's closed. We define drabble loosely as "sort of in the general vicinity of hundred words, but whatever works for you."
