I'm a yo yo these days.

SCA wise it's going good.  Although I hadn't really wanted to be Ravensley seneschal again, I'm actually ok with it now.  Despite the dismally small council, I do have the support of everyone it seems. Also although I get the usual teasing it is kind of like the type you get in a family that actually cares about you.

Coincidentally we've suddenly gotten two different newcomer families who are rather enthusiastic.  There are nothing like newbies to perk up a group that's gotten a bit burnt out.  I find it reminds me of why I joined in the first place.

Health wise it's not so good.  Jamie has a virus in his muscles that is causing him a lot of pain and the doctor says it is effecting his heart too. On top of that he has very high blood pressure, high blood sugar and high cholesterol. The doctor says he should be on medication for the rest of his life but until the virus has run it's course he can't take any. He was told he needed to take it easy because he could have a heart attack or stroke at any time.  Not so good for the stress level for either of us.

I'm back on the valporic acid (the one that covers migraine variants, seizures and bipolar) but I'm having problems remembering to take them.  Gotta work on that.  I'm suppose to get thyroid tests etc and my blood pressure is high for the first time in my life.  Stress maybe?

Other stuff... Alec and Kat are now talking about sharing a place after Alec graduates.  She has decided she wants to get work locally and save money for university because she doesn't want to be so far from home just yet.  Alec figures it will take a while to get accepted by the Navy... especially since he grads at 17.

Other news... Alec got a job a MacDonald's and got accept to work as a ship cook for Sea Cadets this summer. I must admit I'm proud of the boy.

As well, Maria is being tested for a proposed gifted class next year.  I hope they follow through on that cause I don't want to see a repeat of the bordom issues we had with Kat.  Still she seems a far more mature child then her sister so maybe she will ok anyway.

Kat has finally decided to take my advice and make t-shirts with her original art on it and sell them at the farmer's market. Hope it works out since she needs some form of income.

As I said... up down up down
