I just finished my first telephone pre-screening of a doctor for a research study.

Thank god I've watched so much House. I don't know how else I'd be able to pronounce some of this stuff.

Our new lamp is perfect. It gives off beautiful light. I was curled up in the armchair reading The Gunseller by the glow of it, and Susannah Falhurst was asleep next to me, and Cat was playing Mario on the couch, and music from Eternal Sunshine was playing on my computer, and everything was perfect and quiet ( Read more... )

Today Cat and Lisa and I went to Stanford Hospital and took lots of photos. Not just any photos, mind you. Terribly geeky, awfully wonderful photos. Oh, yes. Who needs to wait for Baycon when your cousin has a BA in photography?
