So ... I've come across several references that say infants sleep better on sheep/lambskins. However, most of these, although they in turn reference "a study done at Cambridge University" are on websites selling said skins. Therefore, I'm inclinded to take the claims with a pinch of salt, although I will admit to being favourably inclinded to want to believe the claim. Problem is I can't find the study.
Furthermore, I've come across one (but only one) website that suggests that infants laid to sleep on soft surfaces including sheepskins are at a higher risks of SIDS. That site doesn't give any backup for its claim.
Any of my readers have any knowledge on this topic?
Thanks.
