Sundry
* My backyard - and especially the trees in my neighbor's backyards - looked very pretty with the new snow this morning. I was delighted.
* Clam Chowder is just the thing on a cold day!
* I'm still sick (heading into week three) and frankly I'm sick of it. If I could make an appointment with my doctor - and know that I could see her within say 15 minutes of that appointment time - I would. But I have so such assurance and Cambridge is a long way to drive from Waterloo when you're both sick and don't have a lot of time during the day.
* I miss my sister and her kids ...
* I just picked up Thomas Cahill's, Mysteries of the Middle Ages and I'm looking forward to reading it. I know he's kind of a populist, but still. I enjoyed How the Irish Saved Civilization I was needing a new book. This time last year I was just starting into all seven Harry Potter books from the beginning.
* I'm taking down my Christmas decorations today.
* Today is also my friend Carolyn (from Grade school)'s birthday. I should try to see if I still have her phone number around somewhere and call her.
