Since 1998 or so, I've had BIG CHANGE years every three years like clockwork. Usually, there are smaller-scale changes scattered throughout, but nothing on the order of the three-year cycle. It's been a year of change; some of the changes have been profound, some happy, some sad, and some trivial. But the watchword of the past 10 months for me has been fluctuation. I'm not sure why it's so much on my mind today, but here's a bit of a laundry list of the bits that I can think of off the top of my head:

A great change was begun, and (in a way) aborted in my life. This beginning has pointed out to me that my life was stagnant. I was beyond content, into complacent, and that's the driving force, I believe, behind all the weirdness that has been going on.

I need a Great Life Change, and I need it soon.
