But going back to the [very start of the] episode: Where did his jacket go? - well, he did say he was in the pool. Jackets get cumbersome in pools. I'm betting it came off in the pool :)
I love Amelia/Amy Pond. She's spunky and yes, she's learned that the Doctor does not keep his promises. I really really hope we don't get a Doctor/Rose/Mickey triangle gain.. cause that scene at the end, wedding dress, concerned about being back the next day, 2 years later.. she's getting married.. But, I will agree, Rory seems much more competant than Micky was in the beginning. He was actually paying attention to the weird stuff, even if no one was listening to him (I also caught a bit of a triangle with Rory/Amy/Jeff.. The way Rory reacted to the Doctor mentioning him...)
“Look at you. Oh you sexy thing...”
- My husband was mad when they did that! He's all, I WANNA SEE THE INSIDE! Was funny.
Trailer: Favourite bit DEFINITELY the bit with River blowing a kiss and spacing herself (which we’ve seen before, and gone wtf? over) - and then
( ... )
I'm betting it came off in the pool :) Ah! But that's the thing. It's off as soon as we start the ep (when he's clinging onto the TARDIS), and it's only *after* he climbs back in that the TARDIS does the big lurch thing, and he ends up all soaked...

I really really hope we don't get a Doctor/Rose/Mickey triangle gain.. Well I doubt that the Moff will recycle that, but since she's got no family etc, I guess he figured she needed *something* to make her want to stay.
But, I will agree, Rory seems much more competant than Micky was in the beginning. MIckey became *awesome*, but he annoyed me in the beginning, and thankfully we've not got any of that.
I also caught a bit of a triangle with Rory/Amy/Jeff.. The way Rory reacted to the Doctor mentioning him... Amy is a PRETTY girl.

Three and Eight were the previous wardrobe-in-the-hospital thiefs. (Five got his outfit from the TARDIS.)As Andraste says, the man is clearly a serial criminal. :) No wonder he hit it off with Christina so well.
Loved the episode, thoroughly, and I'm glad I remained unspoiled, which wasn't easy...

Re: Three and his outfit: well, it was the early 70s. Three also stole a car to get away from said hospital while he was at it, and on that memorable occasion fell in love with fast Earth cars, but he didn't keep that one and had it returned afterwards. However, he demanded the Brig should provide him with such a nifty vehicle, hence Bessie. BTW, this is but one of many reasons why you should watch Spearheads from Space which is still my fave post-Regeneration story (and so much better an introduction to the THree era than the dreary Daemons - I'm still sulking that you watched that one against my advice, I'll have you know). Because the dialogue essentially goes thusly: Doctor: ...since I'm currently stuck here, I might as well work for you. Brig: *warily* Well, I suppose we could pay you... Doctor: My dear fellow, I couldn't possibly take MONEY from you. However, I really liked that car. Also, this outfit. And Miss Shaw makes a great assistant. Did I mention your lab equipment needs updating?
Re: Three and his outfit: well, it was the early 70s. LOL! (Actually I like this nicking-clothes stuff, esp re. Eleven, since it explains the odd juxtaposition of the tweed jacket and the jeans.)
However, he demanded the Brig should provide him with such a nifty vehicle, hence Bessie Ahhh, I see.
I'm still sulking that you watched that one against my advice, I'll have you know ::laughs:: It is (AFAIK) the only Old Who ep that the Beeb has shown for the past however many years, so I wasn't about to waste the chance. AND it gave me a Whoniverse explanation for magic, something that came in *incredibly* handy for my fic (as you know). 'Twas the perfect ep. :)
the Brig/Doctor relationship is like a man and his excentric mistress. Half of the time the Brig is aware of that.) *dies* That's fantastic! I shall keep this in mind!
I'm convinced! I feel a little like a traitor to David, but Matt's sold me.
“Look at you. Oh you sexy thing...” my favorite line of the episode. And I like what they did with the Tardis; she's different, but not too different. It's a good way for Moffat to provide some continuity. Though I'm not too sure about the lava-lamp thingy in the central column. Huh!
I like Amy a lot, and I'm sold on Rory already. Plus, he's a nurse! I'm a little fearful of another Doctor/Rose/Micky triangle too. I love Rose, and I didn't really mind that triangle. But they've done that before, and after Martha I'm bored with companions in unrequited love with the Doctor. So I'm hopeful!
I love that 11 took little Amelia seriously. I think that you have a good point; taking kids seriously is a lot of relating to them, and it's when he won my cold, bitter heart.
I like 11 as Tigger; that's a great analogy. Shame on anyone who doesn't know that scene!
I'm convinced! I feel a little like a traitor to David, but Matt's sold me. Oh I know what you mean... I happened to catch the very end of EoT2 the other day, and my heart *bled* for poor Ten. ::hugs him::

I was wondering about the jacket thing too! Glad I'm not alone.
And I'm picturing this whole thing from her aunt's perspective--comes home finds half the food eaten or thrown out and her niece sitting outside with a suitcase saying she's waiting for a man to take her away...can you see why she might have been taken to see a psychiatrist :) Oh yes. And you can see Amelia going 'But HE FIXED THE CRACK!' Hee.
He just missed the right time. With rose 12 years became 12 months, with Amy it was 5 minutes became 12 years. He is flawed, but it is not out of heartlessness or cruelty that he did what he did, it was simply a mistake. I feel like Martha now, talking to Donna. 'My family got really screwed up because of him, BUT IT WASN'T HIS FAULT!!!'
I hope she learns not that "the Doctor is unreliable" but to have faith and hope in the future and in others. The Amy we meet is angry and probably bitter, and has lost her childlike trust and faith--I hope that she can re-learn or regain some of that in traveling with the Doctor.*nods* And he
