LOL I haven't seen this but it made me think of MY comparison---I totally said he was Tigger! LOL! xDD You MUST go buy it. It is one of the greatest books OF ALL TIME! And yes, your review made me smile. (Great minds and all that.)
That is something I've always loved about the Doctor: he takes them seriously, and treats them with dignity. This. And I think it speaks volumes about what kind of person he is.
Hahah I noticed this too. Not bad in any way, just very different. Which is good, as it should be. It was a nice familiar phrase though, yeah? :) Yes it was! :)
Oh yes, and I failed to point this out in my review but it felt so... Doctor, to me. Especially Nine, I suppose. It felt very Nine. But yeah! They think they can get away with something like that? Nu uh. I did like that. Hee! I liked that bit of writing very much, because (as you say) it was just Doctor-y. Could have been any of them, and I liked that this was what made Eleven Eleven. (I hope that makes sense! *g*)
LOL I really do love that line oh so much. ♥ He just

I guess I'm more intrigued/enamored by the idea that River was way, way, wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy in his future, you know? Made it feel more epic and mysterious to me. I can see that, definitely, but my immediate glee over having her NOW is rather overshadowing that! *g*
And yeah, it's like, all of the sudden there was just this explosion of RTD/Tennant hate all over the place after S4. :P Not to mention CoE... And it's not like I can't see his weaknesses as a writer, but these people seem to think that New Who appeared by sheer magic and then Rusty *ruined* it. If you want to show your flist how you feel, you could always link to Ten Reasons To Love Russell T. Davies, which is a lovely, lovely post! :)
But anyway! Positivity = awesome. :) Stay that way! Hee! x) No worries! (For me it's always been the meta that pulls me in, so in many ways 'liking' is a moot point. F.ex. the Dalek episodes in S3 were *awful* pretty much, but they tied in with the overall theme exceedingly well, so I'm OK with
Thanks! I'll have to check out that post. It's excellent, because it points out *specific* things that RTD did and invented, that made the show what it is now.
There's been this whole feeling in the air that S5 is going to smear RTD's era off the map and it's going to be the Great Gleaming Salvation to save us all from the last era. And if you're having a hard time accepting the new changes, you're not a real fan of DW, 'cause that's what the show is all about is change, and we need to get over it or GTFO. Yeah, I've seen that too. 'Finally *real* Doctor Who is back' etc. Meh. (This is why I don't stray outside my flist. Or doctoreleven, which is that rarest of things, a comm full of love and squee. Of course they tend to love Eleven *best*, but there's plenty of love for all the other Doctors too... Although I suspect there's too much squeeing for you at the moment. *g*)
Seeing it in comms is one thing. Seeing it come from my own flist is something else entirely. *sigh* If only I wasn't such a chicken. :P::is a chicken too:: Anyway, you're

Yes, I've been skimming some of it, and it's making me all warm and fuzzy! Man I love posts like that. Makes the world a happier place. xD They really do! selenak is wonderfully level-headed - you should check out her review of the new ep, 'tis lovely. :)
Of course it's going to happen on comms, but on my own flist? Ack. SCARY TIMES. Oh dear. See I entered LJ (and fandom) via Buffy, but only after the show had finished (very shortly after, but still), and built my flist from Buffy fans with whom I shared a positive outlook/ship - so generally a warm fuzzy place away from the crazies. And once DW started, a few became interested, but they're still a minority, and those that are fans tend to be fairly laidback. (Also I made sure to stay miles and miles away from DW fandom. I heard enough stories from the Buffy heyday to know that Fans Are Crazy.)
LOL! I think you are less of a chicken than me. ;D I even got it all written out and then... deleted it off my LJ preview screen and chickened out. xP Bah.I tend to post stuff like that as private

A warm fuzzy group away from the crazies, a great tea party, laidback and awesome. So seeing this change in a few of them is bothersome. I can imagine that it would be. Let's hope it's only temporary.
People can post whatever they want on their LJ of course. I just wish they'd remember not everyone shares that opinion. :/ THIS should be obligatory!
That is like the most awesome and perfect way to put it ever! ♥ Heh. They seem to forget that if you tear down before you have nothing to build on... ::is wise::
Which is why I want to post about it so people know where I stand and why I'll get mad if any of that floats onto my LJ. *humph* And I see you went ahead and took the plunge! :)
LOL that comic. Is. Awesome! Isn't it just? It could solve ALL the world's problems, I think.
And you are wise! Yes. very. *pats you on the head* ♥ LOL! (I have three girls, age 4, 8 and 11 - I know all about stupid arguments!) Also hello and welcome to. I ramble a lot and love pimping stuff and am hopeless at commenting. :)
