In honour of New Year's: Photos from 2021 from AP news. (Not sure why the pictures aren't showing atm. Try again later?)

Dimash sang in New Year in China on the CCTV channel with Thousands of Miles, A Common Dream (万里梦同心), a duet with Yingxi Zhang. (Link goes to his instagram. ETA: youtube here.) Gorgeous, gorgeous song. (Prerecorded, obvs, he spent NY chilling w/friends). The song is based on the poetry of Zhang Jiuling of the Tang Dynasty. The poem was written to comfort friends who are about to travel a long journey.)
And then I remembered this performance of 'Never Land' for the New Year Global Gala BTV (also China, but 2018) and had to include it. Completely the other side of the spectrum in every way possible. Yet I can't really argue with techno on top of a skyscraper with dancing polar bears! :D

It's ridiculously warm today (15 degrees I think?). We never turned the heating on... Anyway, this made me laugh:

ETA: Our gingerbread house is finally finished. Darcy decided to model it after the house in Home Alone, and he has even put lights in it:
