smiley and other bits of randomness

The first time I noticed the smiley sticker on this sign was back in October - when I had a day off and took the bus to Walmart. At the time, I didn't have my camera with me. It wasn't until a week ago this past Tuesday in that I was finally able to snap a photo of the sign. My inner geek/nerd/whatever half-expected to see a trail of blood coming out of the smiley.

This past Monday, I had a random memory wedge its way into my head while working on some salads at work. From what little I recall with this particular memory, my step-sisters and I are in the waiting room of some doctor's office in Hermiston. The three youngest step-sisters and I are playing with dolls. The doll I had was a knock-off of Barbie. Her name, if I remember right, was Maxine and, unlike Barbie, she had flat feet. I must've gotten Maxine fairly recently, because I remember feeling unhappy that I couldn't put Barbie's high heeled shoes on her feet. That's all I remember. As far as I can tell, there was nothing going on at work to cause this particular memory to emerge from the depths of my mind.

It turned out what I thought was a yogurt container behind one of the toilets at work is actually a deodorant cup. One of the Front End ladies I talk to at work was brave enough to give the container a closer inspection yesterday. Ok class. What is today's lesson? Get the facts before letting your imagination run wild. Will Bethie learn her lesson? More than likely not.

Right now, I'm sprawled across the couch waching Raging Sharks on the SciFi channel. An bad (imho) movie about sharks and it involves... aliens?! Oy. Yeah. Bad movie, but nowhere near as bad as The Langoliers. This is to be followed by Sharks' Revenge according to the commercials.

movies, work, memory lane, photography, weird
