*reads it slowly so as to savor it* This is just beautiful! I was afraid that Sawyer was going to be a jerk, but yay!

“I ‘preciate you tryin’ to make it all ‘bout me, Doc, but if you really want to take my mind off bein’ on this jumbo jet, I suggest you get the fuck inside me right now.”

And that right there made my brain short circuit.

And the human popsicle remark, eeee! My coworker keeps asking what's so funny. Uh. Yeah. Not telling!

"What you are laughing at over there?"

"PORN."

"Ooookay."

yeah, Sawyer was verging on jerk for a moment, but came back to happyland very quickly. :) glad it's making your brain short circuit. i was going for an overload of smut!

I love how totally conflicted Sawyer is, wanting to be there for Jack but really not having to face up to it, wanting to tell Margo exactly how it is and let her have it for how she treated Jack but then wanting to respect Jack's wishes and just behave himself, let things run smoothly, or as smoothly as they can. You can see how much he just wants to protect Jack, not have him go through what is clearly going to be quite an ordeal, but he realises he has to let Jack do it his way, there's only so much he can do to help ( ... )

poor Sawyer...having to hold back with Margo on Jack's account. so hard for him to do. Margo is terrible. I wish I had given her a bit more depth, not made her so one-demensionally horrible, but I didn't really want to spend more time on her. (i'm terrible...)

sawyer on the plane...i just thought he'd be freaking and be so embarrassed to be freaking, but that it was a big sign of his trust in jack that he would let him see through it, that he would admit to Jack that he was totally scared.

glad that marc and jack seemed natural to you. it's hard to convey a friendship that has lasted so long, that they're so comfortable with each other. but i think marc would be someone who would be behind jack no matter what he chose to do with his life, who he chose to be with, because i think from the get go (when jack tried to stop those kids from beating him up) that jack has always been there for him.

I think that's so true of kids like him who have all the emphasise placed on achievement but they never get to have a real life, they ( ... )

I like the implication in this part that Sawyer has given up being a con man -- from the way he compliments Jack on the way he worked the flight attendant. "We could've made a killing." Past tense. Tiger changed his stripes!
