Cross Your Fingers
Four weeks, three mechanics, and 1300 dollars later and I finally have my car back in my possesion. After much consideration, I decided to take the car to the Saturn dealership last Friday which undoubtedly is more expensive, but hopefully that also means that they know more about what they are doing and will do the job properly. So PLEASE wish my car luck as I attempt to take it back to Purdue tomorrow.
Speaking of which...I go back to Purdue tomorrow...quite excited actually since I could use some spice in my life, and even though Purdue is not my definition of exciting, I sure do have a good time most of the time. Plus, I can't wait to see all (well, most) of my friends again.
But on that note I must also admit that this summer has been nice. I haven't worked as hard and have found myself spending more time at home with my parents than ever before. This used to bother me because I felt like I had to be social, but it hasn't bothered me at all this summer. Is that some sort of sign of growth?? :) Whatever, it doesn't matter.
I have been packing all night and loading my car, which sucks, but hey, it needs to be done. But in the process, the girl that is staying in my room (whom I get along with and enjoy actually) discovered that I was leaving and mentioned that she would like to use my good mattress then. you see, I have been sleeping on my mattress on the floor in my sister's room and Kim (that is her name) has been using an older mattress that we have that is just too soft and thin to be desirable. Now, call me selfish, but I am not all about sharing things like a mattress for an extended period of time. AND the main reason why is because I don't know who else she will have on the bed...so, tonight when she asked me if she could use my mattress, keep in mind that it was only minutes after asking me if I thought my parents would care if her fiance slept down there with her when he visited. HELL NO am I about to let these two get it on on my mattress...call me selfish and dumb, and maybe that is the case, but it isn't like she is on the floor or anything.
Okay, that was enough of a tangent...I thought I had more things to say as I sat at work today, but I can't seem to think of them right now...so I guess this is it. It may be awhile until I write again because I will be settling and I dont know when the computer lab opens. So, have a great weekend!!
