Mostly this is just to remind me of future fooding fiascos adventures. Otherwise, I'll forget, and then I'll never have tried to make faux
chicken feta spinach sausages.
Homemade irish cream. Maybe even vegan because I am good at sharing.
Cherry/lime sorbet (should happen soon, actually, since we have cherries and limes and my ice cream maker is ready to go)
Pear ginger sorbet. Probably with honey. Possibly roasted like the
applesauce I made Daniel. (note - I haven't actually followed that recipe because I'm out of cinnamon sticks and I rarely have apple juice and also maple syrup is effing expensive. I have instead used whatever juice is around and brown sugar. Last time was pineapple juice, lime juice, and like 4 kinds of apples in various states of edible.)
s'mores cookies, with homemade marshmallows. Probably also vegan.
Some sort of sweet with bacon.
french toast and bacon cupcakes or the maple bacon ones I linked a while back, or choc. chip cookies with bacon... must be done before I make a switch.
(oh right, a switch. it's slow but it's in the making. damned economic and environmental reasons. possibly also health reasons; heart disease is big in my family. Daniel's too which is why his mom says my cooking will kill him. omg I love her.)
mushroom bacon. eggplant bacon.
homemade vegan cheese.
Lately I have been making some
apricot lentil soup which was my first use of red lentils. They're so friggin awesome that I'm going to add them to my roasted garlic soup next time I make it, for the texture and also some protein.
Dinner tonight = black bean burgers (from v'con), corn on the cob, possibly a salad. thinking about making red onion jam to go with. ooooh... pineapples are on 2-for-1 and I could roast some. and there'd be leftovers for making
candies.
Tomorrow = vegan dad's
irish stew which means I have to start my seitan tonight. I have only made quick little easy seitan things so we'll see how this long-simmering stuff goes. To be served with Daniel's mom's five-grain soda bread, since we scored the recipe from her the last time we visited.
But seriously, faux chicken feta spinach sausage. seitan with almond-based-feta. Oooohhhh yeah.
ETA: omfg,
cherry salsa, why didn't I think of this, I LOVE stonefruit salsa. tastespotting oh you love me.
