personally i feel that the "groundhog seeing his shadow, 6 more weeks of winter" thing is dumb. scientifically, or maybe not, don't you see a shadow unless it's like, completely dark? is that what this urban legend means? or is it like, the ground hog looks around, and if he makes no sign of having noticed that he, in fact, has a shadow, then winter will be over? whatever, i don't get it, and can't handle six more weeks of what alabama likes to call winter so i hope it aint so.
which brings me to resort wear. springtime is the absolute best time ever for dressing and jcrew pulls through yet again in the arena of tempting and addictive clothing. is it too over the top to have a seersucker swimsuit?
today in geology, dr.uddin addressed the class-time delinquincies of various members of our venerable football team yet again. one of them was asleep on his desk, and dr.u asked another one to wake him up. seeing that he was awake, our professor asked him if he was ok, and he said "yessir, just takin' a nap cause i'm tired." un-ruffled, dr.uddin says "good idea. remind me next time and i'll take a nap with you." heheee. my history teacher also finds himself very amusing, and in discussing the french revolution today, he says "now don't feel too sorry for those who lost their heads, cause let's face it, most of them probably had it coming." a caring man full of compassion is hines hall.

The Time has almost Come...
speaking of things i can hardly wait for, AUBURN BASEBALL SEASON BEGINS THIS FRIDAY!! anticipation has been building as we walk home from class every day lately and hear the ping of balls against the aluminum bats from plainsman park. one of the most beautiful sounds ever. i don't care who you are, there is something quintessentially alive about baseball. it embodies all that is bright and natural, comfortable and awake. it is both social and singular. everyone has their own reasons for caring about baseball season, but no matter what those reasons are, everyone will be at the ballpark when the time comes. and if they aren't there, there's definitly something missing in their lives :)
"Baseball to me is still the national pastime because it is a summer game. I feel that almost all Americans are summer people, that summer is what they think of when they think of their childhood. I think it stirs up an incredible emotion within people." - Steve Busby
steve busby, i'd like to shake your hand.
