[ It seems that Maes has accidentally dropped his Pokegear, and it started recording on it's own. He's currently holding up a Magikarp by the tail and talking to the Eevee that is by his feet. The Magikarp is kind of meekly flopping a little. ]
He seems a little... er... lackluster, doesn't he...?

[ He cuts himself off as he hears something in the distance. The Eevee by his feet perks up her ears and looks cautiously in the direction of the strange noise.
Before either of them can react, a little Rattata runs in front of them. ]
Another one...?
Vee~!
[ Maes returns the Magikarp to his Pokeball and points toward the Rattata. ]
Alright then, Ta--
[ The Rattata makes the first move, and dashes around Eevee to sink its sharp teeth into Maes' leg. Maes lets out a startled yelp and shakes his leg back and forth with as much force as he could. Finally, the Rattata is flung off, and grazes a nearby tree. Eevee takes this chance to run forward with a Tackle. But considering how the little Eevee is only at level 5 and the Rattata is at level 12, the tackle is not very effective; if anything, hitting that tree did more damage. ]
Crap...
[ Maes picks up a nearby rock and flings it at the Rattata, hitting it on the head, confusing it for just a moment. He takes this opportunity to scoop up his Eevee -- and the Pokegear which, he has just noticed was sitting on the ground close by -- and starts running as far away from the little purple rodent with as much speed as he can muster. ]
