[ The video flickers. It comes on to show the face of a man. Then off. Then on again. Then, there's no video, but you can here indistinct mumbling in the background.
Finally, on, again. There's a man wearing some sort of uniform. The floor behind him is strewn with stuff; obviously, he's dug through all the supplies that came in his little backpack and they're now all over the floor. There's a Team Rocket uniform somewhere nearby, for those who are paying close attention to the background. He's staring into the device in his hands and seems to have finally figured out how to use it.
... Except for the fact that it's upside down. But he doesn't really notice.
Mumbling a bit more to himself than anything else: ] Ah, it seems that these things transmit some sort of signal. And video, too? ... I've never seen one of these things before. But it could come in real handy back home. I could see my little Elicia's smiling face every single minute!
[ More seriously, now, after the mention of Elicia. He's gotta get home... ]
To anyone out there listening, I seem to be... lost...
[ He pauses to take a look around him. ... Nope, doesn't look familiar. ]
I would much appreciate any help in identifying where I am. I have this adorable little girl, see. I need to get home to her as soon as possible. She just turned three. And she's waiting for me to come home!
[ Another pause. Ahem. Right. Gotta focus on the problem at hand: getting home. Also, what are these strange things he's suddenly been handed? He picks up the pokeball sitting next to him. ]
And, could anyone tell me what these strange balls are fo-- Aauuugh!
[ Flash of light. He's dropped the ball, now. And the Pokegear, too. It's now showing a tilted shot of mostly ceiling, a bit of his leg, and an Eevee.
Silence. He's staring the thing down. It's staring back. Then, it makes the first move by happily tackling his leg. He awkwardly and cautiously reaches out to pet the thing. The Pokegear lies forgotten for the time being. ]
Er... how did you... where... I've seen some pretty strange things before, but...
