The Weather Could be Worse...
It's really not too bad outside. I wish it wouldn't rain, but at least it's not 25 degrees with winds up to 40 mph. It's actually decent. That's kind of sad...this weather is decent compared to all the other stuff we've seen during the past weeks. Oh well. Like I said, it could be worse.
I had a good weekend. Went to the mall to get my mom's birthday gift (her birthday is today :-)). I had gone to Walmart and got tobymac's new CD. I had serious doubts about it. I even asked someone there what their return policy was. After that I decided I could always sell it on eBay. But I really like it. It's actually pretty good. The last track is a remix of one of his songs with dcTalk doing it. It's good to hear them sing together again. I know most of the people reading this probably don't like them that much (or their solo projects really...they haven't done much together in a while). But they were one of the first Christian music CD's I got, and they got me hooked on it. Not to say that all secular music is bad; I still like some of it, but I don't listen to it that often. Anyway, I liked the CD.
I came back to CS Saturday and watched Troy with Andrew. I don't know why people didn't like that movie. It was pretty good. Sunday we went over to Allyn's hosue to watch the Superbowl, which was fun. After the game we played Texas Hold 'um, and I didn't know how to play. I got the hang of it though. It was fun. I like playing it.
I read a letter in the Batt today that I thought was brilliant. She says it better than I do, so
you can go here if you want to read it. It's about abortion, and it came from a stand point that I hadn't previously considered, and I think it's very well said.
