Planning on making a fic journal

Jul 01, 2007 08:56

I've decided to make a journal just for storing my fic, 'cos right now it's scattered across several communities at various degrees of locked. It'll be basic (I've picked out a small set of userpics), and for now won't contain anything new--I'll put in the fics I've already written (currently listed in my memories here), and future updates, and possibly fannish meta. I'm planning on making it all public-view.

Debating between elfs_fic and elf_fic, both of which are available. Considering other names, but have no brain. Probably want something with "elf" as a prefix. Hmmm. If I'm including meta, maybe I should call it elf_fandom or something like that. Gah. No, that looks awful.

I don't want to tie it to any particular fandom; my interests are fairly scattered.

Suggestions & comments welcome, both about the name, and the best (free) LJ layout for something like this. I'm vaguely thinking of Rainbow Boxes, if that's available for Basic accounts.

I'm also planning to eventually migrate away from LJ, probably to InsaneJournal. (After all, I bought an account there.) I expect that, in the long run, my blogging will be done elsewhere, but I'll want to maintain a fic archive at LJ, probably with an easy link to wherever I "hang out" online.
