Today it occurred to me that Iowa is an absurd place. We have no interesting history. No wars, no revolutions, just corn. For all I know, no one in Iowa has ever done anything but grow corn. This is probably why our history is so boring ( Read more... )

Iowa's history of being the most changed state in the union is somewhat interesting, I guess.

Also, Hoover kind of gets a bum rap for what happened. It owuld've happened to anyone who was in office, but he certainly didn't handle it well.

Herbert Hoover was an excellent man who did alot. He was proclaimed as the "Food Cesar." He was wary of the continued reliance on the stock market and if people had listened the crash wouldn't've been nearly as bad.

The depression was set to happen before Herbert Hoover came to office. He may not have handled it very well, but I think he had potential to be a very good president. I would vote for him in the next election. (assuming the other canidate wasn't spectacular)

You know what's more fun than corn? Water slides on wednesday at the nevada pool at 1:30 ish and not forgetting sunscreen.

I'm assuming you're inviting me. But I can't go. The Seed Conditioning Lab needs me!

I suppose I could jump down into a chute with corn in it. If I would fit in such a chute. It would be almost like a waterslide.
