i went to college and be got smartz

Really wanted to make a proper update today, but it's not to be.

I am on a serious Firefly kick and have changed my Facebook pic to Mal with my face, and am generally annoying everyone by shouting "SHINY!" and making obscure references to my favorite eps. Of course, everyone knows the one about Shepherd's hair. :P

Today it was decided that literary people use far too much flowery, unnecessary language when their point would be made just as well in a condensed format, and much more readily absorbed by readers if presented in a more straightforward manner. So I suggested that whenever we stumble upon such an extravagant example of le vocabulaire ("efflorescence" was Erika's poltergeist of the day, for example), we substitute the offending word or phrase with "pop the cherry."

"Efflorescence of genius?" You mean to say, "The popped cherry of genius!!"

Erika expanded on this linguistic amendment, suggesting we employ a variety of vulgar and base terminology in our process of word substantiation, such as "in your pants." This led down a winding rabbit trail of tangential conversance which eventually led to Harry Potter, and the exclamation:

"Expell-your-pants-ius!"

All in a Literature Major's day's work, my friends.

firefly, nerrrrrrd, when i say "all or" you say nothing, i went to college and be gots smartz, my friends are bad@$$, writing, harry freaking potter yo
