East Fucking Jesus

This weekend in a nutshell.

Friday was fairly uninteresting. Dinner with hellstorm_inc and warbleflit while gotelc and his SO went to her dance. Stayed up late playing WoW (hot damn, my main's lvl 36 now and not even half way to the amount of cash I'll need for her mount *crycry*). Gave hellstorm_inc and warbleflit my Blade of the Immortal comics. I really hope they're released to small format soon. Slept over.

Saturday: Wake up only 5 or less hours after I went to bed (2 hours before my alarm was supposed to wake me), play a little WoW, begin the trek to east fucking Jesus gourry and bobomagicksock's house. I was very paranoid on the way there, with hellstorm_inc driving, that we were missing turns (which we did, 2x) mostly because there weren't as many streetsigns up as I'd like. Arrived unscathed, gamed like rabid... well, like crackheads, good times were had by all. Ass-kickage was had, and there were many spent bullet casings to attest to it. Usually, when there's a Feng Shui game going on, there's a fairly even split between gunplay and fu-shits between the PCs. This time it was all guns and a grenade. I really want webcomic it.... We watched a little Robot Chicken, then it was really late at night - well, relatively.

So we drive home. I called home during said drive to see if the Cox guy had installed my internet as was planned. Not to my surprise, he hadn't. The story goes like this: My parents were told that it would be a certain price to run a line into my room, I was told a different amount. When the man came over - that I was later told, didn't speak much english - kept saying the higher amount, they didn't let him run the line. Sunday, my mother added in that before they could call me to ask about it, he left. So I was damn annoyed.

... and the battery died on the way back. It killed at the I-10 / 610 split and we coasted to Elysian Fields. Called gotelc and warbleflit to come help us. As the boys were pushing the car off the road to deal with it in the morning (when it wasn't raining and pitch black - no, there isn't very good lighting out there yet), another guy pulled up in a truck right infront of us. His truck had run out of gas and a friend of his was coming out to help him. One thing I can say for that area of N.O. - it smelled like wet, dirty, socks.

We got back and I almost promptly fell asleep on the couch. gotelc brought me home, where I watched more Descendants of Darkness before I fell back asleep.

Sunday: Birthday happenings with my sister at the in-laws. Everything was nice - relatively. I still felt so tired, so I eventually snoozed a bit in one of the chairs.

After that, there was dinner with warbleflit, hellstorm_inc, gotelc, Brian and Dawn. I didn't eat very much buffet, but I didn't mind. Then we drove over to warbleflit and hellstorm_inc's place. There was talk of Animal Crossing, Guitar Hero, internet vids, Stephen Lynch (I'm sorry I forgot the CDs!), introducing gotelc to Blade of the Immortal (which he loved after reading the prequel!), then it was suddenly 11p and we all split up to go home. Instead of going right to bed like I should've, I stayed up and I watched the end of Descendants of Darkness and started my Saiyuki watching before I fell asleep, finally.

I'm hoping to resolve the Cox internet issues today... Hoping.
