Been Wiiiing a bit too much lately. (How many i's in "Wiiing", anyway? Do I hyphenate?) Spock picked up "LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga" when it went on sale, and the rest... well, my son has completed the saga, and now he's out there in Free Play mode looking for all the mini-kits. He prefers to be Darth Maul for the cool light sabre, Darth Vader for the Force-choke trick, and Boba Fett for the jet-pack. And who wouldn't want to have a jet-pack? :-D
Not much going on here. Had a birthday. "Shall we go out for dinner?" Spock asked. "Um... Tiger's got to get to her swimming lesson at six. No time." "Oh, yeah." Yes, the secret to happiness is to downgrade ALL expectations, and bar hope from ever crossing the mind's threshold. I was pleasantly surprised, that way. I mean: Spock actually ASKED if I wanted to go out to dinner!
Nothing new in the sewing front. Got a wage job to support the business while the business doesn't generate income. (Couple of curtains hems here and there.) I get to play with cut flowers in the winter wasteland that is February. Valentine's Day... oooooooh, my poor, cracked fingertips and scratched hands! It's part-time, and happens while the kids are at school, so I don't have to worry about daycare expenses. However, I'm not sure what I'll do for March Break. It also seriously cuts into my sewin... no, it really cuts into my online-time, which would seriously cut into my sewing time. :-D I'm not going to lie to myself. At least it means I'm getting a T4 slip for next year's taxes - I'll have earned money! Yay!
EDIT: OK, 300 skimmed-posts back on the f-page is enough. I apologize if I've missed anything really important. Point it out to me with link, please. G'night.
Gotta get an accountant to help me go through my federal business tax forms, too. *sigh* My bookkeeper disappeared on me for almost 6 months, and then called me out of the blue for her skirt (altered, and I'd thought abandoned by that time). So I'm pretty sure my books are a mess, and H&R Block isn't going to give me that $30 tax return deal, nope.
OK, gotta disappear again.
