My taste in music is contagious

May 14, 2007 15:12

So, at first Paula, the youngest one of my sisters, starts to listen to such bands as The Calling, Finger Eleven, 3 Doors Down and Paloalto (all bands which I'm not quite into since they're lacking the famous something but which are very close to my Western favourites Nickelback, Saliva and Stabbing Westward) and now I found out that Katja has saved some jpop&Anna Tsuchiya into her mp3 player^^ Normally her playlists contain artists like The Fray, William Tell, Sarah Fimm (*ahem* all artists she found via my CD collection^__-) and Yan Tiersen. She's very picky when it comes to music so I'm a little flattered that she has started to get interested in something that's so important to me. I was really surprised when she when said that Japanese bands have remarkably better texts than most of the Western bands. I guess she was quite impressed after reading the translation of Anna's Namida and MUCC's Libra.

My weekend:

FRIDAY
My theater kids came in dribs and drabs in the afternoon with crazy amounts of food. We were celebrating the last time we gathered together -since there're no new people to take care of the club after I leave, we all felt a little sad. I hope Minna or Janette are going to take over after me, but it really depends on the amount of support they get from the other girls.

Because I wanted them to get something nice as a farewell gift, we've been planning to make a real photobook in jrock style^^ We took the last photos on Friday: girls wore cute grunge-ish outfits and makeup and we went to the school nearby which is quite dead on Fridays. I'll show you some pictures after I get them photoshopped, but they're quite Cassis-like, in some way^^

When I was uploading the pictures into my laptop, Camilla wanted to open up on some things she had on her chest. Her parents want her to take a part into one of those special camps for teenagers who have diabetes this summer, and surprisingly she hates the idea. She talked quite fiercily about how she feels being quite an outsider (apparently she's been in those diabetes events before) and that since she's a little shy, it takes forever to get to know new people. As I watched her throughout the evening I saw how greatly she admires the the four friends of hers and how she trusts them.. Though the girls always fight over rather stoopid things, it made me feel all fluffy to see that they do have a really strong bond, after all. I'm happy that Paula has such friends. Also, I'm slightly proud about the fact that the girls trust me enough to share their secrets and fears with me.

So, Friday was good. Despite the fact the girls can be as annoying as girls at their age are, I love my kiddos and I hope we stay in contact after I move away and start my exciting student intependent adult life.

SATURDAY
Saturday was.. interesting.

Dad came over in the morning and was pissed. Since my parents divorced when we kids were quite young, he has never learned to handle children or, even less, teenagers/young adults. He has always wanted to get things done his way, and he still seems to believe that we don't have brains of our own to think with. We three were supposed to help him get some yard work done, but because we hadn't slept in the previous night (katja had been partying and Paula and I had fun with Paula's friends) we all got up pretty late and by that time he was already pushing smoke through his ears. He ended up yelling Katja, who was the first one to go out. She broke in tears and ran back in (she's not normally that sensitive but she has new medication which makes her mood swing rather strongly) and that made me go and yell back at him. We fought rather loudly and scared Paula who after hearing and seeing that all didn't go out at all -she stayed in, lurking in her room.

I guess he understood how a big jerk he had been (I painted a little with him, pouting and snapping), since he tried to ask a few times where Katja was (I told him that she had taken her pills and went to bed, which was true -she had curled up in my bed, listening to zetsubou, the best "I hate you all, go away" song in the world.)

He ruined my morning very effectively. I was afraid of seeing Ville since I was sure I would take it all out on him. Thank god he's such a teddybear! The moment he showed up I felt a little lighter. We went to buy some stuff for the evening and then we did a 3-kilometers-long run (well, he ran and laughed at shuffling&moaning me-.-'). After that he asked if I wanted to have an ice cream and of course I said yes^^ In the car I couldn't help but think how a good couple we could make.. he caught me staring at him a few times but I think he didn't mind.

Our Eurovision Party was a success -around 15 guys came and though we all were pretty wasted, no one broke anything or fought or anything (I love my friends~). Some of the boys wanted to go to sauna and then they barbequed -all in all, the mood was very light&summery^_- We had loads of fun during the actual show (Ukraine, why oh why?! *cracks up*). Also, it was nice to really talk with some of the girls -I know I've been quite remote lately and it was good to talk some issues through with them. Mawia and Nanni were absolutely adorable after a few drinks, and seeing Kata and AJ together made all of us a little jealous -you guys are the cutest couple ever, and I'm so happy that you've found him<3 Hopefully that lasts and you get married and get pretty babies :P

Ville, Markku and Essz stayed over night and after a few episodes I ended up sleeping in the same bed with Ville. (Damn my sister and Essz who organized the sleeping places xD) And.. well, the night proved that I had sensed right and he really likes me. Curling up next to him was sweet and I liked the way he kept brushing the hair away from my face. Finally I pulled myself together and kissed him, and now he's so mine x)

In the morning we had breakfast together and went to pick some flowers to my mother. I think we might see tomorrow.. let's see if this is going to work out :)

SUNDAY
After Essz and the others had left, I simply went back to bed to sleep. I slept from 4pm to 9pm, watched Jack Bauer (it SUCKS not to have Tony Almeida anymore;___;), had a few SMS conversations with Ville and Santtu and fell asleep again. Very productive day that was^^'

It's raining now and I have to take the dog for a walk *sulky*

I love this Naitomea icon of shin_kai's way too much<3

EDIT: bad English, too tired to re-read&correct the mistakes~
