Went to my osteo. He decided that today would be the day that he would test my pain threshold, I think. I channeled Ray and Malcolm and all those other stoic boys I love ( Read more... )

I am awarding myself a large bottle of expensive wine, as I have found out tonight that we can't afford anything for the forseeable future. Hmpf.

Bodies are really quite amazing things. I'm sure you thought the same as you winced your way through your appointment!!

Still, at least it's not that rotator cuff, eh? Pah!

Bodies are amazing. And now I look like I live with a wife-beater or something! ::pours you a virtual glass of wine::

And yes, yay to it not being more serious!

Yeeps - I cringe at the thought of crunchy-pop bone things. It's just so nasty. When my finger was broken in two places, the RN gave me a local and started cranking on it with much nasty noise. Gah!

I think I will reward myself by writing PWP. There was some discussion on my flist of male/male anal with the penetratee on top...

I always expect the crunching and popping to hurt, because it SOUNDS so damn painful - but it hardly ever does, even when he's twisting my head off totally! I do naturally click and pop and crunch a lot anyway though, so it's not too distressing!

Don't spose I can talk you into writing some PWP Ray/Chris? ;)

Gah, maybe it's because I don't that it gives me the creeps. ;)

A Reed/Hayes is what came out. What fandom is Ray/Chris?

Gah! Sorry, I forget who on my flist is into which fandoms (because so many people are into more than one etc)

Ray and Chris are from Life on Mars. And although being a seldom-written pairing, are my OTP. Icon demonstrates :D

Ouch. So, good news on the rotator cuff, but the problem he diagnosed sounds just as bad, possibly worse, than that. Will it heal okay by itself?

Yeah, I'm very glad it's not the rotator cuff. I don't think this is bad. I'm to give it a week and if I still have even little twinges after that then I need to see him again pronto for another go at helping it fix itself. When it's in the right place it just aches and hurts a bit if I exert myself - it's when it 'pops' out of alignement and my collarbone is in the wrong place that it hurts like a mofu! And totally robs me of almost all movement in my arm. (thankfully this hasn't happened too much!)

Today I have loads of finger-and-elbow-shaped bruises all over me. I look like a battered wife when I take my jacket off, with fingerprint bruises across my bicep!
