Update
Well, having spent an anxious period of time waiting, I have my computer back, malware free. Of course, they had to do a system purge, so I have virtually none of my bookmarks anymore, but that's not a big deal. I backed up all the important stuff onto my external harddrive. Unfortunately, it reset the Windows XP Office set that I was using to the 2007 Office set. On a trial. So I'll need to buy, or install from someone else's discs, Office. More money. Everything demands more money. I've no idea where that little addition to Firefox was... the one that gave me a drop-down menu of all the LJ usernames I'd signed in with. And of course that means I've lost the ones that were programmed into it that I've forgotten the passwords to. Bah. Complicated mess. It'll work through. It's just a bother. One that I'm not certain I have the time to deal with right now. Too much to do and not enough time to do it in. Isn't that always the way of it?
