1. my car battery is entirely drained and I need to get it replaced.
2. my laptop's CD/DVD drive has stopped recognizing when I put a CD in it.
3. both these repairs cost money.
4. my job was cut back to 12 hours a week this semester, netting me a grand total of about $130 a paycheck.
Conclusion: I can't actually afford to get either of these things fixed.
Addendum: My parents have graciously decided to cover the car repair for me so that I have a possibility of getting out of town should it flood again this year.
On an unrelated note...
Talking to the internet is much like talking to the soundproofed room of an asylum, I imagine. You know there are receivers to pick up your voice, so if anyone's listening they can hear you, but you never know if there IS anyone listening, so you never know if you're going to get a response. If you ask an important question, there's as good a chance as any that you'll never get an answer, no matter how many people might be watching, as there is that any one of them might answer.
