Well assuming I am right and my obs is wrong and we last past Easter, I will be having these babies on the 26th of March (or possibly the 27th depending on how well they respond to being induced, but I doubt it will take that long). The babies' room is finally coming together. It took two weekends just to clear out the study as it had become a dumping place for everything after we moved the computers to the lounge. Here is how it looked to start with.

I had my obstetrician appointment this afternoon. All goes well. No protein and BP was good so no worries about pre-eclampsia thank goodness. He doesn't think I will last until 37 weeks which is when he wants me to be induced. 37 weeks is Easter Sunday, so I will talk to my midwife and make sure she books it in for something like 37 weeks 4 days - ( Read more... )

I seem to have expanded enormously in the last few weeks and now feel rather like a beached whale. Sleeping is uncomfortable. Walking is uncomfortable. Sitting anywhere but my lazy-boy is uncomfortable. So part of me is over this already. But I know that the longer I can cook these girls the better for them ( Read more... )

Had another growth scan today. Decided to splash out and get a 4D scan, instead of the free scan at the hospital. My midwife found a place that did them for a reasonable price ($50) and was prepared to do one this late. Most places it seems only do them up to 30 weeks. We had another growth scan today. The girls are doing well, and have turned around to be head down. Nick swears he saw them doing this on Tuesday when I was napping on my lazy-boy. So today was my 19 week anatomy scan (my 5th scan so far this pregnancy, and I expect at least another 4 or 5). This one is the big one though as they check lots of different bits to make sure they are being put together right. It took 2 hours, which was rather more than the 30 minutes I was expecting.
