i just heard on the news that paterson is going to increase "taxes and fees" in an attempt to balance the state budget. WHAT A SURPRISE. he already tried to raise fees on getting new license plates AND he tried to require everyone in the state to get new licenses plate this, so he could scam the most money out of us. that failed because so many people petitioned against it, but who knows what else he's going to try to do. he already tried imposing a tax on all non-diet pop, more cigarette taxes, and a host of other taxes i can't even remember. but i mean, come on. the population of rochester has been steadily decreasing since the '30s, and paterson thinks that taxing us more is going to help anything? there already aren't enough jobs in this area and a lot of people are still barely scraping by, and the only way to fix the budget is by raising taxes?
