I'VE FINISHED IT!
Beneath the cut are SPOILERS FOR HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS. All of it. The Whole book.
SO. Where to start? Well firstly I want to do a little jiggly dance and say YAY ME! I said ALL along Harry was a horcrux, and pretty much the whole fandom disagreed. So ya me. XD
Uhm Lupin dying = me SOBBING For about half an hour. God that death ripped me up. I love Remus. He has always always always been my favourite character. And after he'd just become a dad, fuck. I'm welling up just thinking about it. The way that he was just mentioned as well. Lying there with the dead. It was so final, so much like war. It's still really painful. God, I love that dude.
Also that fandom predicted thing of the marauders - Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs - dying in reverse order turned out to be true. I love that Wormtail killed himself, well sort of. I'm glad he's gone anyway.
Uhm and Dobby? Bawled my eyes out for the poor little dude. :((((
Ohoh! But Kreacher?? I LOVE that he was awesome in this novel, that Hermione was right all along. Once they treated him with respect he helped them. I dunno, I love that. Y'all know how I am with wanting everyone to be treated as equals. ♥
OH! The Hallows! DUDE! Anyone else notice that the Deathly Hallows symbol was exactly what JKR used on the Wombat Tests?? Heh. Cunning lady.
I just... I have no words at the moment for the whole Hallows plot. I thought it was awesome.
Also, Elle has passed her love of Draco onto me and I adored him in this novel. I actually loved all the Malfoy's in it. I know they are only concerned with their own wellbeing and will go with whichever side is winning, but I'm so glad they're not evil that I don't care. And Draco's role in the novel?? AWESOME! He wasn't in it much, but damn he had a huge role in it!! XD
Snape. Oh Snape. The spoiler I read was true, btw. Voldemort killed Snape. I'm SO glad there was heaps more to his and Dumbledore's relationship. I love how much it showed. Not so chuffed that Snape was in love with Lily, but it all seemed to work.
Speaking of relationships. Harry/Ginny. I still don't like it. I don't like that they ended up marrying and living happily ever after. Cliched, sentimental names for their kids too, but that was bound to happen (I'm also pretty sure that in a fic Elle and I started writing ages ago we called one of Ron and Hermione's children Rose, huzzah us!)
I like that Harry got closure too.
Oh and that shaking, flayed child? That was part of Voldemorts soul, right? The part that resided in Harry? That whole thing with Dumbledore in limbo was awesome. I loved what Dumbledore said at the end:
"Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?"
LOoooooove that. It's like an encouragement to everyone who fell in love with these books because of the way they play out so beautifully in your head, and a finger up at all those who snub the novels, saying those that read them are sad. Huzzah JKR!

The best news in all of this though?? THE HARRY/DRACO SHIP CAN STILL SAIL! Psh marriages. Means nothing. Those two are still linked, always will be XD
OMG ETA: How could I forget the broomride???!! AHHHHAGAHA OH MAN I LOVE THIS BOOK. I had some less than savoury moments BUT DAMN It pulled through for us dudes!
Ohoh! And WTF Harry using Unforgiveables without a second thought. WTF??! Iknow he gegts toldtime and time again that he needs to use serious curses. BUTOMG. At Gringotts, he just imperio'd the goblin and Travers. WTF HP? And the crucio? Oh man, I get that he may have been a little mad by then but ... WHUT? He didn't even AK Voldemort! Ok so he didn't need to, but damn! The choice was there! >(
And THE TRIO! OHMYGOD. I loved on them so bad throughout this novel. They compliment each other so perfectly. Guh. I lub them. All of them. They are so awesome.
The Grey Lady and the Bloody Baron! Awesome shippage there. Kinda sucks that they have to live forever together. I love that we found out the history of the Bloody Baron too, all those silver blood stains.
Hedwig? Ohgod. Fred?? Christ. I said to Andrea it'd be SO HORRIBLE if one twin died and the other survived and she did it like that. So fucking cruel. Mad-Eye??? DDDD:
OH! And all the swearing! XD The Innuendo's. That book Ron brought Harry, haha. SO Awesome. I love that it shows how immature they can be but how much they have had to grow up.
It was so much more than I could ever have asked for. GAH I LOVE IT.
