It's the holidays, and I adore Easter =) Two whole weeks with nothing to do but relax, write, make icons-and prepare lessons, do homework and try not to remember my A-levels. School is a bit of a bummer, but I reckon that without it, we wouldn't appreciate the holidays nearly as much, so it has its advantages.
Revenge is sweet...and hilarious. Claire and I were both free first two this morning, so I decided to wait until then to put up the posters, which had the added advantage of lulling Ash into a false sense of security *grin* We got them all up, and when I met her at break she still hadn't seen any of them. It was only when one of the boys said, "Love the posters!" that she realised what had happened, began shrieking and ran after me surprisingly quickly ;) She was really good about it, though I suppose she had to be considering what she did to me: she even said that she'd asked for it.
I got out at lunchtime, along with quite a few other people, because Ruth had to go to the airport for 4pm. Not that I was complaining, or anything, but I had a bit of a rush at the end because none of David's teachers were where they were meant to be, and then Daddy was late, thanks to the bullocks getting into Granda's garden and messing it up.
The peanut cookies turned out pretty well: there's one tray of nice, neat, almost-round-and-sticking-together ones, and another tray of big, messy, crumbly ones =) I went for another quick run after dinner-I was looking through the cupboard in Ruth's room and found my old pair of school shorts, which are much, much nicer to run in than jeans! Too much chocolate and cookies will probably undo all the good, but never mind.
Wow, these headphones are odd...Paul Simon is singing in one ear and Art Garfunkel in the other =) I was typing code and suddenly realised that I had no idea what I was typing: my fingers were doing it automatically, but as soon as I started to think about it, they forgot what they were saying.
I've almost finished the mood theme, and found quite a few new pictures including some off-set ones that should be useful. There's about thirty more to find, and then I might rearrange some to make them more appropriate. I started a couple of icons this afternoon-one of the fonts that heather gave me is really good for small sizes...it looks clear even if you can't read what it says. *Ponders whether that made sense*
Some more people have replied to UCAS, and I really need to as well, but I can't bring myself to do it because I know I'll regret whatever choice I make so I'd like to give myself as little time as possible to worry about it.
I think I might cap a few RotK pictures myself, since most of these ones aren't very good quality. Pens are much better at keeping my hair up than bobbles, I've found. Interesting.
It's the SU Formal tonight, and some of the non-formallers are going over to the Diamond and on to Johnny Henry's for a film or something, but I didn't really feel like going twenty or thirty miles to either of them. Maybe I should have an early night so I can get all that lovely sva vector calculus done tomrorow morning =) If David's any better I might try to get him to do some work with me, too. And I'm going to finish this chapter by the end of the week if it's the last thing I do, and if I have to randomly end it in the middle of a sentence.
