Info Post - the Real One
Yes, so in saving parts of my app to my new girl's journal, I inadvertantly sent it out to those in the list who'd already friended her. Sorry, 'bout that. Here's the real info post.
Mercedes Thompson, or Mercy
From The Mercedes Thompson series by Patricia Briggs - pre-canon.
Here's a link to the full info and here's the quick 'what you should know about her':
*16 and a sophomore.
*Is a 'walker' and can change into a coyote whenever she wants (and isn't tied to the moon so she doesn't have to if she doesn't want).
*Can smell emotions and whether someone's being truthful - though this ability works best when she's in coyote form and/or knows the person.
*Can also smell whether someone is a werewolf, vampire, fae, magic user, etc. If you're not exactly human, but something she hasn't run up against, she'd be able to tell that much.
*Can see and talk to ghosts and has some ability to influence them.
*Has some immunity to magic and to vampire powers - can't be mind-clouded or controlled easily. In the books they joke that the less dangerous the magic is, the less likely it is to affect her. The really dangerous stuff affects her fine.
*Slightly stronger than the average human, highly enhanced scent and hearing ability.
*Is not sensitive to silver, but also doesn't have the enhanced strength and healing power of a werewolf.
*Half Blackfoot/half Anglo.
*Raised in a werewolf pack and feels like she's never fit in anywhere.
*Fully expects to have to hide what she is here and since her life recently has been fairly traumatic, it may take her a bit to settle in.
Helen Haras-Uquara
From The Homeward Bounders by Diana Wynne Jones - post-canon.
*Just graduated today, but will be around for the summer.
*Can change her right arm into almost anything. Worries that her father may be right and she may be an abomination because of this.
*Raised by the priests in her world because they felt the arm marked her as The Hand of Uquar, the one destined to bring about the reconnection of the worlds. Which she did.
*Can influence a variety of animals.
*Owns an adorable fennec fox.
*Cleric/Magic user, though the book gives little information on other abilities.
Millie
From the Chrestomanci Series by Dianna Wynne Jones - from well before she marries Christopher.
*Owns the bookstore and is always looking for good help.
*High level enchantress
*Used to be the living embodiment of the goddess, Asheth.
*Escaped when she discovered they killed the Living Asheths when they got to old.
*Raised with a young nine-lifed enchanter in an alternate universe Industrial Era England.
*Has an Asheth Temple cat named Proudfoot who can speck (when she wants) and who is inherently magical.
Mai
*On EST, living in southern New Hampshire.
*Reachable on AIM as Maisfeeka or at Maisfeeka at AOL dot com
*Is a teacher, which means periodically around report time things can get crazy.
*Also does community and professional acting which means that around show time things can get crazy.
*Always happy to thread anyone, but can be very shy about just jumping in at times. If you're interested in playing with any one of her girls she'd be more than happy to oblige!
