Nearly a week into the holidays and I can start to relax.

First off, I was straight into a production of 'Pirates of Penzence', which was sucessful and had good audiences every night.

This went quite well. We have to sort out the maypole ribbons a bit quicker, but it is looking good.

I auditioned tonight for my local G&S society. I always audition for everything, but really want Mad Margaret.

For my audition piece, I sang Margaret's opening song. I tried to play the madness along the lines of Idris (Doctor's Wife), and to help me I took a prop. I secreted my litle Doctor figure in my pocket and took it out at the line 'Love ( Read more... )

Posting this late because I was just so tired after the show.

We had a very good house on the Friday, but a smaller one again on the Saturday, but both were appreciative. Nothing went wrong and we had a good party after tearing down the set Saturday night. I made a cake as usual.

My hair stayed in!! (yay!). We had twice the audience of last night, so let's hope that trend continues.

And we had three birthdays, so there was cake after the show.

Smaller audience and a quieter audience in that they didn't seem to laugh as much. A few litle mistakes, but still went well.
