Man, I think it's me being short-tempered, but I haven't had any good work stories lately. Kinda makes me sad. Anyway, the best from the past couple of months was the other night, working a late-night Milwaukee-Las Vegas flight (going to Las Vegas brings out my inner 12-year-old fangirl who I try desperately not to pay any attention to; seeing as how we laid over there, it was very hard not to indulge). On our second pass through the cabin to offer drink refills, a passenger shook his empty beer can at me. They had already annoyed me, so I said, "Use your words, gentlemen!" Later, taking cups of water through, I smiled at a passenger in the row in front of the same guys, and he said, "It looks like you're feeling better." I wanted to say, "Not anymore, asshole," but I figured one more smart comment would be pushing it.

That trip was actually quite memorable because of the crew I had; we laughed through every minute of the trip, which can make even the worst flight awesome. Also, I got creepily hit on by one of our first officers who was about 20 years older than me and hardly attractive. Subsequently, I was teased mercilessly for the rest of the trip by the other two FAs. We learned what SMH means and now I will always associate it with our jokester tilting his head like Indian people, saying, "I would like a Coke, NO ICE!"

I LOVE DANGER DAYS. When I first listened to it, it was getting ready for work in Denver a couple days ago (which is coincidentally where I am again, on the exact same layover), and I liked it well enough. But like Black Parade, every time I listen to it, I find another song that I fall in love with, and by now I'm just in love with the entire thing.

Sometimes when I'm listening to music like MCR and getting ready for work, I always think a little about the contrast of the music and buttoning up my uniform and heading out to my very straight-laced job. Not that its not possible (it happens more than we realize, I suppose), but I wonder if the bands ever think about it that way, and on the other hand, I think it would surprise people who I work with (or even my friends) to know what I'm listening to as I put on my (required) make-up and pantyhose.
