So Tuesday after Modern Art my Mom came and picked me up, and we drove home for Emily's mom's funeral. The service was lovely, if exceedingly long. The music was lovely, and I got to give Milli a hug at the end of it.
Got ahold of Sloan to see if he could drive me back into the city (I figured, hey, if he's already going in for dancing, it means my mom won't have a 5 hour back-and-forth in the same day), but he's evidently not... happy with life, and didn't want to drive the whole way home alone & thinking. Did get to chat with him for a bit, though. So Mom drove me down to the Lansdale train station, and I took the train in. Met up with Ashley and Glenn at LaB and danced til almost midnight.
(Danced with Jesse and John, and asked Seth - he promised me a dance next week, which'll be good. I find it funny that these are really nice guys that I'm crazy-intimidated to dance with, but who are really good.)
Caught the train back to Swat, got home at 12:30 or so. Teach for America job application being due Wed at midnight, I worked on it for a bit. Went to sleep at 2:30; got up at 7. Wheeeeee! 4 1/2 hours of sleep is not enough for Allison to function properly, but in this case it just made me crazy-hyper (for two days running - I'm starting to chill out again, finally) and had multiple people ask me if I was high.
I got the application in, though. EEEK!
Now, I should try to get stuff done before life implodes due to NANO.
