The first Harry Potter is on tv tonight. It's funny how young the kids look already.
I had an optometry nightmare last night. I was in clinic with a patient named Kate who was three years old. I couldn't remember how to do ANYTHING, including if I should use the phoropter on someone that age. She seemed pretty smart and well-behaved so I decided to try it. But when I started the refraction, the phoropter was all ancient looking and seemed to have been salvaged from a shipwreck because there were barnacles growing on it. In fact on one side, the sphere wheel wouldn't turn into plus at all. And then when I leaned closer to look at the numbers everything was written in roman numerals and I couldn't figure out what was going on at all!
