My car is for the most part great. But it seems to be getting old enough now (it's a '94) that little things are going wrong. The last two days the new fun problem is that my key won't go in the driver's side lock. So I have to open the car from the passenger side. Lean across and unlock the door and then go back around and get in. I guess there is ice in the lock because it's been really cold since the snow storm on Sunday. How do you get rid of that?

The antenna makes a horrible grinding sound when it goes up or down.

The gas door thing doesn't open by itself if it's cold at all out. It has a little release handle inside the car to pop it open. All summer long this works fine. As soon as it gets cool in the winter the release doesn't work. I have to pull on it to release whatever lock is there, and the gas attendant has to use a finger to push the door open. Thank goodness for having other people pump your gas in Oregon. Because I can't both hold the release handle inside the car, and open the actual tank at the same time. My arm span is not 7 feet. I'd have to find someone to help me every time I went to the gas station if I was in any other state.

Moisture collected on the inside surfaces of my windows during the night. I do not see this happening to other cars parked nearby so it must be something with my car. It's a pain though. I have to scrap ice from the outside and then squeegie the inside surfaces and then wait awhile for the defrost to get rid of the haze before I can drive. My car isn't wet inside. I don't know where all this moisture is coming from and why other cars don't seem to have this problem!

I've replaced light bulb after bulb after bulb this year. 2 brake lights and then a tail light. And now the warning is back on. I think it's for a tail light that is kind of on the side of the back bumper. I never even knew that light was there.

None of this seems serious enough to take it to a shop, when I have no money for non-essentials. I guess I'm just glad it's nothing more serious. Since I don't actual have money for essential repairs either.
