It's holiday time! No school 'til Monday. And that means binge movie renting!

The Lake House - Sappy unrealistic romance
The Prize Winner of Defience, Ohio - about a woman who raised kids on the money earned by writing advertising jingles for contests
Zelary - foreign movie that someone on my friend's list recommended a few months ago
On my computer desktop there is this phantom folder that will.not.go.away. It's a folder that was once created to contain that handful of files belonging to Seth that he had on my laptop. The contents have long since been deleted. And now I don't even want the folder there. But nothing I do makes it disappear for good. Right click delete... dragging to trash... it will always mysteriously reappear within a week. Always there saying "Seth." Always totally empty. It's frickin' driving me crazy.
Local news: Semi truck loses load of whipped cream outside of Portland. This totally is what I forgot to buy at the grocery store today to accompany the pies I'm bringing to a pot luck dinner tomorrow. I hope it doesn't mean I'm SOL.
