new trivia gig
Started a new trivia gig last night at The Corner Pub, not too far from Twain's, where I'll return on Monday. Actually, there were a few folks who also/used to play at Twain's, which helped with the comfort level of starting a new gig. Also there was missy_carter, who with her team has been playing there for about a month now. Funny that we live one neighborhood apart but will see each other every week in a different part of town.
It went well. Figured out the sound pretty quickly, which is always an issue at a new place, and only got a couple of "Well, Karen did it this way" bits of whining, which is not bad considering she had been there since they started trivia however long ago. It's a good crowd with lots of regulars, so we'll see how many stick around with a new trivia host.
