Wow it's been so long. I don't even know why I decided to go to this and use it but here I am blogging away even though after 3 months, I'm sure nobody even bothers to look and see if I've written anything, haha.
So I left off with all the crap happening within the first few weeks of deployment. So three months later, I can tell you we stopped in Rhodes, Greece and had a blast looking at all the history and beauty in the area. That's where one of the seven wonders of the world used to be. Then we went through the Suez Canal so I got lots of pictures of Egypt. Next was Manama, Bahrain where I got a cartusz (I have no idea how it's spelled) and some other jewelry. Got some good pictures of the palace and the mosque. Very interesting area and very HOT! Next we went south of the equator and visited Seychelles which is like the Bahamas for Europe. THis is the summer time though so even though it was nice and warm and beautiful, it wasn't tourist season. It was like their winter time. I went swimming though which i havne't done in ages, I mean we're talking years, and I had such a great time there just relaxing. Didn't buy much of anything because it was very expensive.
During all those port visits, things got worse and worse for me till I thought my blood pressure would go through the roof from all the stress. The worst part is, I cause more stress for myself than anyone else did. They and their actions were simply the catalyst in all of it. I decided I needed a new perspective on things and whole new environment for work so I made the decision to get out of the military. From that point on, I've calmed down, tremendously and even managed to get my ESWS pin which they have been harping on since i first got here. No matter. In a few short days, I will be out of here and back stateside relaxing and taking it easy. I can't wait! So that is the extent of the deployment up to now. Oh and I don't stand watch anymore and that lowered my stress levels considerably. So as of right now, I'm walking on clouds and simply biding my time until I board a plane and fly home.
Oh yeah!!! And how could I forget....my sister's dog Coda had a litter of puppies and one of them, Rolly Poly, is mine! Even more important news, is my sister had a baby girl, Jordan Riley! I would say she is the most adorable little girl you ever saw but I haven't even seen her yet though there is no doubt in my mind she is beautiful.
