travel weary
oy, it's good to be back, but i must also say that was a really fun and jam packed weekend of travel. i'll post pictures soon of thedish822's first trip to IL soon.
the only snafu was the hectic travel issues getting out there. our flight out of richmond was delayed considerably forcing us to run full out with no rest through the detroit airport. from a19 to c33. if you know anything at all abou tdetroit airport, you know this is a HAUL. and we were totally crushed for time. when we finally got into the C wing, they started calling our names of the loudspeaker talking about how it was the final call for jason and tricia... it was stressful to no end. needless to say we DID make it, and i was glad they were holding the plane for us.
after that we had a delightful time, running all over the place from the train station to the mall to the park and everywhere with raimi. and fun projects of fixing drawers around the house and everything (whenever i visit a family member they always make a nice list of projects or things for me to fix around the house while i'm there, it's fun, except mom asks for too many complex things when i'm up there...).
the only snag was sun night when my body decided to dive into the odd way that it now deals with flu or infection or whatever happened to be wrong with me that night... i start out with severe chills. (We were watching 'monk', and i was sitting there shivering under the covers. when i felt warmed up enough i got up and put my jammies on and started shaking uncontrollably again, so it was back under the covers. later i made the dash to the bathroom to brush my teeth and back to the covers to warm up again. and then later in the night i woke up totally overheated and sweating and boiling, so i took off my sox and was able to comfortably sleep through the rest of the night. this has happened before, and i don't really know what it signifies. it's dealable but it's a mess when i'm so cold and shakey outside of the covers...
the flight back monday was hitch free. i just wasn't able to sleep last night which blows since i was so tired. Raimi gets up early in case you didn't know... ;)
