thedish822 and i are leaving friday for europe. the only problem we currently have is that travelocity gave us a bum itinerary where we fly from richmond into laguardia and then fly from newark to manchester england
( Read more... )
Also, if you're plane runs late out of richmond you aren't getting to newark at all. When I went to England, we were held up for about 3-4 hours because of engine trouble. If you had told us sooner, I could have mentioned that if you drove to NJ and parked at Lucas' place (you could even stay the night if you so desire), then you could just take the train (one mile away), and got to Newark within like 45 minutes for 10 bucks and taken just one flight out. However, that is if you wouldn't mind driving the four hours to NJ, which I wouldn't mind in the case of 1800 dollars. Would it be possible to cancel your RVA-Laguardia flight.
You're baggage will not be transferred, you will have to wait for it, btw.
actually i do want you to take the ferrets. we're leaving friday so anytime thursday or whenever you want to come grab then is cool.
yea, canceling the richmond legs of the flights are probably the next step. we do fly out later that evening, so it's certainly feasible to drive up there. of course this way i don't get a hekkalopter ride :(
I would definitely just drive. If you don't feel like Friday before Christmas driving, you are more than welcomed to stay at Lucas' and park there and whatever. The apartment is completely furnished, even with a kitchen, the train station is a mile away (no less), and there's a diner right across the street for awesome food. If you drive up Thursday night, sleep in on Friday and take the train midday then the nerves would be relaxed (and not paying airport parking rocks!).
I'm not doing anything Thursday. Are you free all day?
Just call me to come by sometime. Do you have a travel cage for them? That would be grand. Also, I think I forgot their water and food bowl and some other crap of my ferrets last time in October. Have you thrown that out? lol.
all that stuff was in a bag. but i thought i put that in your car. but we'll see. i do have a smaller cage up in fxbg that i use for them sometimes. you're saying you don't want my big huge one? i'm not sure the travel one would do what you want, since they can't actually travel IN the cage. but i have trael carriers. just let me know what you'd like and what would be easiest for all yun's. if you just want to dump them in your cage with your kids, thats find too. they can probably deal for a couple weeks.
i thought it got put into the car too but we can't seem to find it. OH WELL. I'll just transport them in the travel carriers (I assume its similar to the harmony hut and not like ours that they can tear through?) here and they can stay in our ferret cage, so I'll need to borrow like two or three more hammocks. It'd be gravy.
Actually, it's this tiny apartment over his rental properties that his grandmother used to live in when she managed the antique business. There's a parking lot, and some parking in the back of the building, but there are business' out front (napa, an antique store, hairdresser). However, no one lived there since his grandma moved down here so whenever they have deals up here (like renting/paving the parking lot or roof or need to go to NYC they just stay there.
There's a private entrance up the back through the gate and stairs leading to the door. Two tiny bedrooms and a couch and tv and kitchen with nice bathroom. If I get into princeton, I plan to live there and commute.
to cancel the rva-laguardia flights it'll still run us 1000 bucks. we're screwed no matter which way you look at it.
the cheapest way is to leave everything as is and chance it. theres a later flight if we miss it which wouldn't be horrible. but who wants to deal with that stress? UGH.
