I'm not sure. It could just be my allergies. Right now my throat's just scratchy which is sometimes a precursor to the plague and sometimes it's just allergy caused drainage. That sounds gross.
Find the opening sequence for one of your favorite old TV shows and post it to your LJ. Bonus points for datedness or obscurity. Play as many times as you like.
Perfect Strangers. I loved this show a lot when I was little.

Clarissa Explains It All. I'm not gonna lie to you. The day we got satellite was the single greatest day of my young life.

To prove I also watched cartoons. Gummi Bears (bouncing here and there every where!). Not that I was ever watching this show in repeats well into high school or anything.

Don't lie. You were addicted to this show too. So I was a little older, but still it's valid. It's 14 years old (holy god). Also known as the animated series that gave many a Star Trek alum voiceover work.

And number one for obscurity . . . I know I didn't watch this show on it's first run since IMDb says it aired the year I was born, but I do know that periodically, for whatever reason, 1 of the 3 channels we got would air this on Sundays. I think it was ABC.

And I have to stop now because I've seriously spent like the last 30 minutes perusing intros for all these shows I used to watch. Before you'd know it I'd have 100 clips up in here. Although I'll be honest that due to having only 3 channels most of my childhood I watched a lot of these shows in syndication after we finally got satellite or saw what I could when I visited friends who had cable or my grandparents who didn't have cable but got NBC and CBS. What's weird is I remember watching Remington Steele at my grandparents' but that show went off the air only a year after we moved up here so I'm not sure when I would've watched it there unless it went into syndication quickly.
I have decided that there are a few upsides to Jericho getting canceled for a 2nd time.
1. With only 2 seasons, and an abbreviated 2nd at that, it won't cost me an arm and a leg to own it all on dvd. I already plan on asking for season 1 for my bday (what? I am turning 25, dammit, and my life is so not how I thought it would be at this point. I have a crappy apartment, a crappy car, no decent job, and I am so not dating Joshua Jackson (when I was 15 this was a dream of mine). I deserve to own the dvds of a show about pretty people whose lives suck worse than mine!).
2. Assuming the finale on Tuesday doesn't Joss me I can imagine that at some point in the future Jake comes to his senses, ditches Emily, tells Heather he was an idiot and kisses her hotly. They eventually get married, have adorable children, Jake gets to start his flight school, and Heather helps maintain the planes on the weekends. What? IT COULD HAPPEN.
3. Maybe Sprague Grayden will finally get cast on a show that a) I like b) she plays a character I don't hate (Judith on Joan of Arcadia sucked hardcore) c) she plays a character that doesn't die d) she's cast on a show that doesn't get canned after 1 or 2 seasons!
. . . I feel as though I need a crazy fangirl tag but at the same time if I created such a tag that would be admitting I'm a crazy fangirl. It would be written in stone in tag form for all to see. Whereas now, I'm a crazy fangirl, sure, but I don't have a tag labeling me as such. It's a very fine distinction, but an important one. Or not. I'm really tired and I don't know what I'm saying anymore.
