[ Jim sees that video and he's out the door before the feed times out. His own mind is reeling from the days believing he was someone else but he wasn't as different as he could have been. He was selfish and a bit of a bastard, yeah, but he wasn't really cruel. Most of the time. (What he'd done to Olivia still made him cringe. )

But that was nothing compared to what Spock had to be going through. The changes in him and Uhura were the most defined that he could see. And they were pretty heavy things to be dealing with. So when he sees Spock's post on the Tone, he heads for the familiar alley way. Sans a coat because he's trying to get there fast. So he may be just a bit red-nosed and cheeked when he gets there and sits in the snow by Spock. ]

[It really should have been expected, but the captain's sudden appearance was still surprising enough that it showed subtly on his face when he glanced up at the man, startled. After a few seconds of staring, though, he dropped his gaze again, wanting very hard to pull back into himself and simply not respond.]

[ He reaches out a hand, as if to grasp Spock's arm, and then pauses. It's probably not the best idea and he keeps forgetting that. His first instinct is to touch and provide comfort physically, since he's sort of crap with comforting words. So he just sighs and sniffs a bit. ]

[It was probably the best that it was going to get. It was vague enough, though he knew that the questions would follow.]

[ It took some time and debating and creating messages and deleting them before she decided upon something she felt would get her point across and not just make everything worse. Her message was simple, straight forward and concise, something she hoped he could appreciate.

[He had considered simply not answering the message as he had been planning to ignore all of them, but seeing who this was sent by ruined his plans of that. Even then, the message took far longer to send than it really should have for how short it was.]

[ She had dismissed her tone, tossed it aside and expected nothing in return. When she looked down at his response she sighed and typed back quickly in return. There was a tinge of something she could remember, how that standard response of him would have annoyed her. But that was yesterday. ]
