My once-in-a-lifetime update
Hello lost LJ world! I haven't updated this thing in almost 5 months! Crazy. Although neither have any of my other friends, so whatev. :P
Stuffs:
Career going well, although my massage advisor has gone AWOL. Seriously. I e-mailed her almost a month ago without response and I made a (dreaded) phone call last Monday and still haven't heard back. I have an appointment at the school on Monday to chat about this particular situation because..
*drum roll*
I passed my national boards on the 19th of July! Woop! Soooo.. ALL I need to be officially certified is this dumb second advisor conference. And my exit interview, but I can't get that until I have the paperwork for my advisor conference. BAH.
Recently, I've been pretty busy with work. I've been working in the Spa and in the Gift Shop (under duress). I was so used to my nice 20-hour work weeks and I think I worked.. 45 hours this week (with no overtime since the Spa is commission.. bummer) and I'll have 40 next week, I believe.
When I'm not at work, we're re-doing our master bedroom into a media room. I'm SO EXCITED. So far, we've painted the walls really dark colors (blue, purple, and a plum-maroon-like color), purchased and hung a MASSIVE television, bought a Wii (yay!), and set up a small entertainment system under the MASSIVE television. I will definitely have a bunch of pictures up whenever I get around to taking them off the camera. I'm at work at present, so that might happen tomorrow.. maybe.
Hmm.. that's pretty much it, I suppose. I haven't been dancing in awhile because our group classes have sadly been MIA for a few weeks. Very sad about that. Oh! I'll be in the great state of PA this upcoming weekend. Sadly, I don't think I'll get much visiting done. I'm coming home Friday, hopefully arriving sometime around 6-ish. More than likely, dancing will ensue. Saturday, I'll be driving to Malvern for my sister's (Jenna) bridal shower. Directly following, I will be hopefully traveling with someone to NJ to Steph's house where we will be departing (all the bridesmaids + Jenna) to Atlantic City to see a comedian at one of the casinos. We will return to Steph's for some quality hot tub and pool time, a slide show, and probably other stuff. Then Sunday, there's a pretty good chance that I'll be coming back to KY.
Well, I think that's about as good as an update as any, really. Let me know how everyone's lives are going!!! My f-list has disappeared!!
