.. since I gave a one-hour, full-body massage. Actually, enough days to make 5 months have passed. And yet, today, I went and took my entrance exam for my clinical internship. Wow, what a bad idea, right? Correct. However, despite almost having a panic attack within the first five minutes, I passed with.. colors, lol. Not flying colors, but colors. 94%, not too shabby for not giving a massage for 5 months. Mariesha (my Gatekeeper.. how cryptic is that?) even said the massage I gave her was wonderful and she felt great. :) Wohoo!! Today is pretty spectacular. I gave a great massage, it's not -10 outside (it's actually beautiful), and I'm leaving Lex for the weekend! I almost got New York Philharmonic tickets, but my contact failed me. *sigh* Stupid sold-out shows. The conductor is staying at our hotel, apparently.
Probably lots of other things have passed, as well. My current favorite snack (though slightly disgusting, I must admit) is cheese crumbles (pre-crumbled, how awesome?) and Italian dressing. Haha. Yummy. Hmm.. current music-obsession is the Mamma Mia! soundtrack since I saw a showing at the Lexington Opera House on Sunday. :) BJ's parents weren't feeling so well, so they gave us their tickets. Yay! I love it when that happens (not that they're sick, of course.. just when we get Opera House tickets). Current time-consuming activity: painting and redoing the house (although I had a bout of lackluster..ness when the color in the laundry room took 3 coats and it's still not done. Stupid primer. Who'd have thought you actually needed it??). I'll hopefully get a picture up soon.
This weekend, BJ and I are going to the SpringRing Handbell Festival in Somerset, Kentucky with our handbell choir, hehe. Should be fun, hopefully.
Pictures taken from a service we played a long time ago. Wow, my hair was short.. I also love how no one's looking at the conductor. We're so good, lol.
I guess my car being broken AGAIN is news. *eyeroll* Stupid same thing that broke earlier is broken again. [To my knowledge from what BJ's explained to me,] my suspension keeps detaching from the frame of the car. The links keep breaking, which is strange because they look fairly strong [to my inexperienced eye]. I mean, they're fairly thick metal bars that keep getting completely sheared off. What the heck? I don't take my car off-roading or anything. Unless the Marriott's parking lot counts. Whatever. BJ thinks they may have been tightened too much and couldn't take the pressure and I hope he's correct. When KY had that really bad ice storm, the link on the other side had broken off. Also, when one of them breaks, my car goes through periods of random BOUNCING. I'll go over a bump and it feels like my car is going to bounce into another lane or something. It's a creepy feeling. But it's not all the time. I don't get it. *sigh*
I guess the last time I posted was after the wedding. The honeymoon, in case you haven't heard, was amazing. Lots of sex, of course. ;) (Come on, you know you were thinking it.) No babies, of course. Oh, I've decided hormonal birth control is the stupidest crap ever (other than preventing me from having to go through labor). I don't know how many of you are/have been on BCP but for future reference, it's like having your period, just all the time. Symptom-wise, anyway. Maybe this is only my personal experience (and because I'm strange and non-regular and so my body's probably rebelling) but MAN, it sucks. Oh well. Hopefully it'll go away.
I've so far evaded flu season. I had a bout of.. an allergy-like runny nose, but that's about it. BJ, on the other hand, had all sorts of crap. Body aches, fever, cough, etc. Turns out it's a sinus/upper respiratory infection. Awesome. I hope I don't get it. So far, so good and he's feeling much better after being on meds.
I think this is a sizable update, no? So here's to everyone who stalks me on my f-list. Updates for the stalkers! :) Let me know how you guys are, I haven't talked to anyone in a fair while. Except Erica, but she's not on here, lol. Anyone who wants to come visit me is more than welcome to.. *cough*
Bye-bye, all.
