[King gives Razer a mockulatory salute - no real venom behind it - and turns to look at the guy he's been paired with.

Another of Razer's species, he guesses, though this guy looks nothing like the ones he's met before.]

Time to go check the flowers, buddy.

[King thanks you, because then he might have to get snippy. Ugh, voices.

The bearded male starts towards the nearest set of elevators, and presses the button to bring one to their deck. He looks over at Jinx, assessing.]

How long you been on board?

[Jinx follows at the man's side. His ears twitch when King looks to him.]

I've been on fer about two months an' I can't say I've enjoyed any of it.

[He shoves his hands into his pockets.]

And you?

[The ear twitch makes King stare a little longer, before mentally shrugging it off and looking at the elevator as it opens, stepping in.]

I've been here about four. Can't say I've hated it, can't say I'm having the time of my life.

[He waits for Jinx to get in before stabbing the button for Deck 13.]

[Jinx steps in after King and stands right next to him. Right next to him. He really hopes you don't think it's weird.]

An' ever since they've been tellin' ya' we're goin' ta Golden Shores. Damn liars.

[The elevator finally stops and the doors open, revealing the strangest thing Jinx had ever seen. And he had seen some pretty twisted things in his life.]

[King might find it kinda odd, but he's met people with odder habits. All Jinx gets is a raised eyebrow for the duration of the elevator ride.]

Yep, headed to the Golden Shore, which may or may not be gold or even a shore, all things considered. If we ever get there, and this isn't a glorified scam for our organs.

[When the doors slide open, King shoots Jinx a grin and steps out into the field.]

I did say it was flowers, didn't I? Feeling a little emasculated?

[Yes. But you didn't say that the entire deck was completely covered in flowers.]

This is impossible.

[He leaps into the bed of flowers and stomps them to confirm that they are real.]

An' no. I don't feel a bit immascalated. Where should we start anyway.

I'd love to say it's impossible, but this isn't the weirdest thing I've seen on the boat. [He watches Jinx smash the flowers, amused.]

Mr. Fabuloso himself told us to just walk from the front end to the back end, and check wherever we can. [King gestures as he speaks.] If you wanna take one side, I'll take the other, and we'll meet at the other end and check out the temple.

[The weirdest thing he'd seen would be Mr.Fabuloso as a woman. Jinx will never forgive himself.]

Good idea, I just hope I don't get jumped. I'm pretty sure there's some sort a' monster hidin' up in here.

[King, probably luckily, missed out on that.]

I've never seen any monsters on this deck, unless you wanna count one of the crew. And I don't think she's here right now. [King grins.] We could just walk down the middle if you don't want to split up.

[What he's not saying is that he is too much of a pansy to go alone.
He'll just follow close behind.]

[Well... King's got a girlfriend and she'd probably smack him? He chuckles.]

I feel safer already. [And he starts towards one end of the field - they came out close to the front end, and King goes to look around there for a few before he starts heading to the other end of the field. He holds the communicator out, like it might pick up a new noise.]

[Jinx is still tailgating him while keeping an eye in all directions. His ears continue to twitch at every shift in the air.]

HOLY SHIT!

[Jinx jumps in King's direction.]

[King almost jumps too, whipping his head around and looking at Jinx. They're almost at the other end of the field - walking through flowers isn't much effort.]
