Shayn, my sweet, I'm going to restock the cupboards.
[He leans forward and kisses the bear's forehead and then draws a knife made of bone from a sheath among many on his belt. Asad hums lightly as he picks up a large rock--and promptly cracks open Warren's skull with a wet noise. The eyeballs come out and into his pockets, and then Asad kneels over the torso and zip-zip-zip, his bone knife cuts clean, precise strokes.
The body cavity opens up and Asad gets to the bloody business of relieving Warren's corpse of its heart, a chunk of its liver, certain glands, tongue and other small torso organs.
The ground steams as Asad hums and softly sings a bouncy tune to himself.]
Moi je joue,
Moi je joue à joue contre joue.
Je veux jouer à joue contre vous
Mais vous, le voulez-vous?
De tout coeur ,
Je veux gagner ce coeur à coeur!
Vous connaissez mon jeu par coeur
Alors défendez-vous--

Erol's barking voice echoes in his ears. They've had to work together. It's repulsive. Sheik has placed aside his personal loathing for the man, however, in favor of the ship. They can fight afterward. They can fight after the recovery. Still, it irks him. He's following the orders of... him.
The voice captures his attention. This must be the man they're seeking. Asad. The other half to Shayn. Is this who they've baited out? Blond eyebrows knit together and he presses himself into the ground, using the body of a dead bear for any defensive maneuvers. The smell makes him want to wretch. If he needs to, he'll fake his death. Asad's busy, though, and Sheik takes it as his cue to leave with the extraction of the heart... among other tasteless things.
He makes his getaway to return to the others. Screw reporting to Erol. He may have given the orders, but Sheik's willing to let him fend for himself. Instead, he finds himself at Remy's side.]
Asad is bringing conflict. Body parts and more. From the direction of the forest. Chances are he took anything of value off of that youth from before.
[What else can he say...? It about sums it up.]

[He teleports to Midna's side.]
Asad's back where Warren dropped. Are you ready?

Finally, they can put their plan into action.]

Don't take the brain. He was clearly stupid.
[He's casual and taunting in his speech. He needed to be a good distraction.]

She will be fast enough.
Asad is so dead.]

You're hexed, Remy. The heart in Asad's hand withers with a faint crinkling sound. It dries up and turns grey and ashey, the breeze in Carnival carrying it away as Asad shakes his head.
He draws the bone knife across his forearm, ready for the next attack.]
What use have I of a corpse's brain?
[Asad's blood mingles with Warrens as Asad stands up and starts backing up for the forest slowly.
Asad smiles.]
Enjoy your limbs while you still have use of them. I'm afraid your death will be quite unpleasant.

He grins as Asad says his death will be unpleasant.]
Yours too.
[Any time, Midna.]

It hurts. It hurts so badly that his head is splitting with it.
If only Shayn could have been here, to die with him. Her cruelty unmatched, her ferocity unparlleled, her lack of mercy astounding. The perfect match for him and--
Oh, Asad thinks, looking at the broiling sky of Carnival. They had a good run, hadn't they? When he smiles at Midna, there's a jacket of blood over his teeth ad his breath bubbles out.]
You fool. Now you'll n-never get the informatio--tion. B-But al-low me--m-madam--
[He can't move, but Asad doesn't need to. He licks his lips and exhales his last breath, spattering Midna's face with his self-hexed blood. He'll be dead before it takes effect, and her not long after.
The light starts to fade from Asad's eyes, but he smiles, smiles, because they had such a good run, they had so much, so much, so much...
together.
Asad knows that once Shayn knows he's dead, she'll be in a hurry to join him on the other side of that dark river, so there's no fear in his eyes, no regret, no grief. Just his intelligent eyes going dull.]
Shayn.
[Asad dies.]

Remy exhales and quickly takes to a knee. He'd paused, and Kate wasn't around to give him that extra boost he needed. He was fairly drained from the bears and the teleport and a quick moment of thought, he knew he wouldn't be able to get them both back without risking exhausting himself to the point of blackout. Then he'd be completely useless.
He hated to leave Midna alone, but she could hide in shadows. The rest of the group couldn't be that far.]
Midna, check the body and report back to the rest of the group. I...I need to get out of here.
[In all honesty, he wanted to get to the healers. Whatever he'd been hexed with, he wanted it taken care of as quickly as possible. He teleports himself to outside carnival where he'd directed the wounded. He colapses to the ground, unable to stand, but still concious. He reaches for his comm and clicks it on.]
Asad is dead.
If anyone can remove hexes, your assistance is needed.
[He looks at his comm, or rather his hand. It's starting to turn black and he's losing feeling in his fingers.]
Immediately.

[Midna wipes at the blood on her face--
Blood filled with magic.
Ah crap.
Gritting her teeth, she drops Asad's body, letting it fall gracelessly to the ground in a very dignified heap. Not knowing how much time she has, she pulls out her comm and barks into it while approaching the body.]
Since I killed him, dibs on Asad's poses--
[Cough.]
--Puh-posessions.
[Crap, it's already starting. She quickly ends the transmission and sets to rifling through his pockets. Pain is already workings its way across her nerves when she pulls out the first item--a heron feather. She doesn't get any further than that.
Midna curls into a heap as her body dies and falls apart.
Four, five minutes later, all that's left is a rotted mound of flesh that could have once been a person snuggling up close to Asad's corpse. The heron feather is still clutched in what's left of her hand.
