A Story for the Times...

I don't update much these days. I'm not sure if that is because I have nothing to say, or because I have so much to tell that it makes my head spin. A little of both, I think. My life these past couple weeks has been dull. I can feel myself slipping back into "the way I was". Bored and drained. But I'm sure the upcoming holidays won't let me lay back and watch them go by. Not that easily anyways. And with turkey day right around the corner, I do have a lot to be thankful for, especially everything I got to experience these past few months.
When I returned from my break, I was eager and very excited to get back and explore a different part of the country with my "new/old" friends. That was the Columbia and Snake Rivers that run between Oregon and Washington. It was very pretty, and very different from Alaska. To save myself hours of typing, I'm going to recap the last leg of my trip in brief cliffnotes...
+ I had a blast, lots of new ports, great stores, warm sunny weather, MORE TIME OFF!
+ I became much, much closer to everyone and met some new people as well.
+/- I began to fall for someone new, someone very unexpected...and who was also my best friend (John). And he felt the same way back.
- I was confused, hurt, and scared of losing a good thing.
- I cried and battled with John on a daily basis, it felt like our friendship was on the verge of breaking everyday.
++ He also made me laugh... a lot.
-/+ I fell out of love(?) with Drew.
++++ I am with John. And so, so, so happy.

Most likely, you will never know the whole story. It's long and complicated, and you just had to be there. I was there though, and all in all...

it was insane.

good night, <3 Sarah Marie <3
